Isparta Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Chamber of
Commerce and industry was founded in Isparta by
Law Possessor Şevket Bey in 1867. Şevket Bey ,
the law possessor of Isparta between 1867 –
1868, was the initiator of Chamber of Commerce
and Industry. Çallızade Hacı Mehmet Efendi was
appointed as the president of Chamber of
Commerce and Industry in 1867. Vanlızade Hacı
Ahmet Bey,Yunuszade Fevzi Bey and businessman
Bakkalzade Hacı İbrahim Efendi and two Roums and
an Armenian were the first members of Chamber
Assembly which was formed by six people.With a
regulation which was published in 1911,Isparta
Chamber of Commerce and Industry got its legal
identity.
With the beginning of
Independence War and because of the immigration
of Roums to other cities in 1921,the functions
of chamber were stopped. The public didn’t have
enough capital because during the deportion of
Roums after the Independence War, their
belongings were bought by the public.
With the efforts of worthies
of Isparta who didn’t want the capital owner’s
to rob the public by usury and wanted
businessmen to get bank loans the chamber
because active againin 1924.Sarı Hacıoğlu
Süleyman the president, Arapzade the secretary,
Kaçkınzade Hasan Hüseyin Bey, Ciğerzade Hacı Ali
Bey, Bakkalzade İbrahim Bey the members were
chosen for the management of re-active chamber.
Our chamber, which has been
active since that time, has been an organization
as public association, having juristic
personality, according to the law. (5174 no.)
Our present Chamber Assembly
was chosen to the board on 09.03.2005.It has
continued its activity by chosen Bedri Ayhan as
the president of Chamber Assembly and Hasan
Hüseyin Kaçıkoç as the president of Executive
Committee. Our chamber has its own 5-floor
building and it maintains its activity on the 2nd
and 3rd floors with 15 personnel in a
modern and internet sourced offices.
